ABOUT THE AUTHORS


 

John Paulo M. Alcantara is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Physical Science, Cum Laude at Bicol University College of Education. He is a licensed professional teacher and handled Earth Science, Disaster Readiness, and Risk Reduction (DRRR), Practical Research 1 (Qualitative Research), Work Immersion, and General Chemistry subjects at the Senior High School Department of the University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi from 2017 -present. He is the Program Chair of the Science and Mathematics Area of the Senior High School Department of the University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi. He is also taking Master of Arts in Chemistry Education at Bicol University Graduate School with complete academic requirements.

 

Rene C.Barola is a Cum laude graduate of Bicol University, College of Agriculture and Forestry of the degree Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education major in Crop Science. He earned his Master of Arts in Management major in Administration and Supervision and Doctor of Education major in Leadership and Management at Sorsogon State University. He entered public service as classroom teacher last 2004 and taught until 2011. He served different public schools of Donsol West District in the Schools Division of Sorsogon as school head from 2012 to present school year. He was recognized as finalist awardee of the 2014 Search for Outstanding Teachers of Sorsogon, awarded as 2015 Regional First Placer of the Implementation of School-Based Reading Program sponsored by EDUCO Philippines, and 2022 Inspiring Educator, School Role Model and Outstanding Teacher. He also served as resource speaker on various levels of trainings, seminars, workshops and other professional development activities for both school heads and teachers in DepEd. A consistent writer and editor of Region V, Schools Division of Sorsogon and Donsol West District instructional/curriculum materials. He also served as professorial lecturer of Bicol University Gubat Campus, Gubat, Sorsogon
 
In the field of research, he served as research adviser of baccalaureate degree student researchers and an individual and institutional research consultant/adviser. He also served as speaker on research topics by various educational institution and paneled numerous researches He also conducted researches in the field of education.

 

Dr. Gerry S. Digo is an experienced professional teacher with a demonstrated work experience as faculty and administrator in the higher education industry. He earned the degree of Doctor of Education in Educational Management from Bicol University in 2010. To date, he is a Professor VI at Sorsogon State University, Sorsogon City, Philippines. Prof. Digo was also a CHED scholar in the Philippine Higher Education Career System – Executive Development Program in 2017 and in the Flagship Course on Academic Excellence for Middle Managers in 2014. Moreover Prof. Digo is the Top 7 scientist in Sorsogon State University as declared by the Alper-Doger (AD) scientific index world scientist and university rankings for 2023. He is also a Career Executive Service Eligible (CESE) and was recognized as the Top 6 in the March 2018 Career Executive Service Written Examination. Likewise, as a Philippine Quality Award Assessor, he is passionate along his goal of enhancing the quality outcomes of higher educational institutions. His research interest is on school effectiveness and school improvement, leading teachers, leadership for learning, and leadership for change.

 

Mario F.Diozon is a College Professor at Laguna University (LU) where he teaches Philippine History, Rizal’s Life Works and Writing, Contemporary World and some major subjects in Communication Arts. He graduated from the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Cabanatuan City Nueva Ecija with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Agronomy and minor in Animal Husbandry. He obtained his masteral degree (Master of Arts in Teaching MAT- Social Science) from the Laguna College of Business and Arts (LCBA) and Doctor of Education major in Educational Management from Greenville College Pasig City Metro Manila. Some of his published books (authored and co-authored) include “PAMUKLOS” (Pag aaral, Pagmumulat at Pagkilos) a literacy teachers guide in teaching the Indigenous People of the Philippines- a project of the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines (CBCP)- Episcopal Commission on Indigenous People (ECIP).
 
He also co-authored Rizal Commemorative book (2007) “Dr. Jose Rizal- Simbolo ng Makabagong Panahon” sponsored by the City Government of Calamba. He is an active member of the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and presently a co-anchor of the program Pulso ng Bayan- a radio commentary program of J101.5 FM Big radio in the Province of Batangas. He is also an active print media practitioner in the Province of Laguna with various job as feature Editor, Editor of different Print Publication such as the Laguna Score and the Voice of Laguna. As a teacher he represented the Laguna University’s participation in the year 2012 Civil Service Commission essay writing contest where he got the first place, currently he is an active advocates of sustainable agriculture promoting Organic Farming practices.

 

DANILO N. KEH, JR. graduated Magna Cum Laude in Christ the King Mission Seminary School with the degree Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2011. He finished the degree Master of Arts in Education major in Religious Studies at Aquinas University in 2016. His interests in philosophy are focused on Philosophy of Religion, Religious Education, and World Systems and Beliefs.

 

ALVIN A. SARIO is currently the Dean of the College of Arts Sciences and Education of University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi. He took his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Aquinas University in 1999. In 2005, he finished his Master of Arts in Philosophy at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He graduated Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education at Aquinas University in 2011. His research interests are Hermeneutics, Political Philosophy, and Development Education. His philosopher is John Rawls.

 

Prof. Angelita Ong Camilar-Serrano, PhD-BM, MBA, CMC A self-motivated and multitalented educator and practitioner, Angelita C. Serrano graduated from Philippine Christian University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management and from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) with her Masters in Business Administration. She is also a product of De La Salle University –Taft Avenue as a scholar of the Coca-Cola Foundation. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Business Administration as the second honor awardee. She graduated from Manila Science High School for her secondary education. She completed her elementary education for five years as a member of the first batch of Accelerated Class in Silahis ng Tagumpay Special Education (SPED) Center in Sta. Ana Elementary School.
 
She teaches Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Finance subjects in PLM, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, and Far Eastern University for almost twenty years now. She was the former Chief of Staff to the President of PLM during the time of President Adel A. Tamano. She had the opportunity to also hold various academic positions Department Chair of the Management and Finance Department, Department Chair of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and College Secretary of the College of Management and Entrepreneurship. During the pandemic period, she served as the Dean of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) Business School and at the same time the Director of the Graduate School of the same School.
 
She has been affiliated with the Association of Marketing Educators (AME) as a Board member for so many years now. She is also a Board member and the current Vice President of the Human Resource Association of the Philippines (HREAP). She is now serving as one of the Board of Directors
 
Prior to her joining the academe she had worked as a quality controller in an apparel and delay-line manufacturer, as a media buyer in an advertising agency and as a buyer in merchandising company and construction firm. Aside from being an educator for more than a decade, she too is a writer, researcher, research adviser, entrepreneur, seminar speaker, and certified management consultant (CMC). She also owns bestbooks.ph, an online bookstore catering to the whole country for customers’ business book needs. Only books written by Dr. Serrano are being sold in this online bookstore.
 
She has written several books for Marketing, Management, Research, and Entrepreneurship Subjects both for Senior High School (K12) and the tertiary levels.
