ABOUT THE AUTHORS


 

ESTER JOY D. AGUDO is a graduate of Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Physical Science from Bicol University. She obtained her Master of Arts in Education at Ateneo de Naga University. Currently, she is affiliated with the University of Santo Tomas Legazpi as a faculty member in the Senior High School Department. She teaches research subjects to graduating students. Her research interests are environmental sciences, environmental development and sustainability, and solid waste management.

 

SAMUEL NARCISSUS L. AGUILAR has successfully taught Physical Education courses for 34 years now both in the secondary and tertiary levels. He studied at Bicol University in Legazpi City and earned a Certificate in Teaching Physical Education. He is also a holder of Bachelor of Arts in Political Science obtained in 1984 from Aquinas University of Legazpi, now University of Sto. Tomas-Legazpi and a Master’s Degree in Extension and Administration were obtained from Silliman University in Dumaguete City in the year 2000. As a Physical Education instructor, he is into training and coaching student-athletes for regional and national competitions. He is also interested in researches on school sports management.

 

ARLENE A. AGUILAR obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Aquinas University, Master of Arts in Teaching English from Tabaco College, and Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education from Aquinas University. She is a member of the teaching corps of the College of Arts Sciences and Education at the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi. She is interested in pedagogical researches on curriculum development, module development, assessment of learning, and teaching strategies for college learners.

 

ANNA LIZA B. ARMARIO is a faculty of the College of Arts Sciences and Education of the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi, where she teaches Microbiology, Anatomy, and other Science courses. She graduated from Bicol University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. Her passion for teaching started when she became part of disseminating the importance of a well-known product (Yakult) to various schools within and outside the province. Her dedication has grown wider when she became part of the UST-L academe. Right now, she is on track to finishing her master’s degree at Bicol University where she indulges herself more in research to give her students accurate information not just by theory but based on experience.
 

CHRISTINE GRACE M. AZUL graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a degree Bachelor of Science in Family Life and Child Development. She obtained her Master of Arts in Education major in Reading Education at the same university. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Office of Research at the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi. She also teaches preschool and elementary students. Her research interests are early childhood education, child development, reading education, and early literacy.

 

DANILO N. KEH, JR. graduated Magna Cum Laude in Christ the King Mission Seminary School with the degree Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2011. He finished the degree Master of Arts in Education major in Religious Studies at Aquinas University in 2016. His interests in philosophy are focused on Philosophy of Religion, Religious Education, and World Systems and Beliefs.
 

ALVIN A. SARIO is currently the Dean of the College of Arts Sciences and Education of the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi. He took his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Aquinas University in 1999. In 2005, he finished his Master of Arts in Philosophy at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He graduated Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education at Aquinas University in 2011. His research interests are Hermeneutics, Political Philosophy, and Development Education. His philosopher is John Rawls.
